Callestick Farm

We found this place a few years ago when we were visiting Healeys Cider Farm which is just down the road but it’s not as well advertised. We often visit both if we have more time to pass.

It’s a great way to pass an hour before or after visiting one of the local beaches. Holywell, Perranporth, Porthtowan and St Agnes all fit in with a visit here.

You can eat in the tea room or the courtyard if it’s sunny.

In the courtyard there is a cow that you can pretend to milk and it squirts water which the kids think is hilarious.

There is a viewing gallery where you can watch them making the ice cream.

There is a playground back by the car park with picnic benches for parents to sit at.

With some pigs, cows and chickens to look at.

It’s a good free activity for families with toddlers. I remember coming when the kids were 0, 1 and 3 and we spent hours here as they pottered between the animals and the slide. Now we just spend an hour but still love it.

The cream teas are delicious and obviously the ice creams are the main attraction but it’s all great value. We always try to pop in when we are down in Cornwall.
